Fashion Inspiration:Emmy Rossum

Ello All,
Today I spent the day enjoying some muffins that were made at 1 'clock last night/morning, trying to piece together some of this weeks outfits and reorganizing my school stuff. Tomorrow starts the first day of my last high school semester, its almost over! While I was looking up some inspiration I searched one of my favorite actresses/singers-Emmy Rossum. I first saw Emmy in The Day After Tomorrow. For those who don't know of her she is a 24 years old and is a incredible actress and singer. Her taste in style is just lovely.

(Source)
I love her use of accessories and how she mixes pieces together. The last photo is my favorite due to the jean vest and the satchel bag. If you are in need to a good show to watch you can catch her in Shameless, based on the British version, on Sundays.

Cold Weather Shopping

Hey Blogettes,
Today I just got back from a very nice shopping mission and mid morning run. I found it is quite difficult to look cute while bracing the cold, after about 30 minutes I came up with this little outfit out of a very long blanket wrap sweater(as I like to call it) and my usual brown boots to plow through the snow.

(Sweater-So?;Jeans-Decree;Boots-Rue 21)
I left my hair natural and only did mascara and sunscreen due to the afternoon run. I was wondering what you would like to see more of on my blog, now that I have gotten into the hang of posting more I really want to post to what people want to read. So I ask
What would you like to see more of on my Blog?
I can be anything from reviews, makeup looks, hauls, collections, recipes, running tips, anything be creative. I plan on posting some more D.I.Y posts because I know that's what I like to read. I am also going to be having a really cute contest soon. I don't know if I should wait till my birthday in June to hold it or have it in February/ March. I was thinking February or March because for me at least, those months tend to be the most boring due to the weather is still in between and nothing much is happening at school.

Stila Topez Liner Review

Hello Blogettes,

After my last trip to Sephora I picked up something that was on my wish list list for quite some time, but never could manage to buy... and that item is Stila Kajal Liner in Topez. I have seen so many swatches and reviews on it and I had to try it out because it looked so much more natural then white liner for widening the eyes.

Review:
Claims:
"Kajal eye liners are formulated to mimic the ultra-soft texture of the indian eye darkener of the same name.
The luscious formula is silky smooth and glides on perfectly, without dragging across the most fragile skin around the eye area. Delivers bold, clear, true color that blends easily and beautifies.
"-Stila.com
Texture: Extremely creamy, almost to fault. Glides on very easy with no tugs.

Blendabilty: Can easily be blended just by the swipe of a pinkie.

Smell: Slight crayon scent.

Lasting Power: This is were I was disappointed. The longest the true color stayed on was up to 3 hours max when applied to waterline. After 3 hours it faded alot. I used a peachy pink shadow to set and it stayed on up to 4 hours on my waterline with the true color. After 4hours the same fading happened but it more noticeable. The shadow actually stayed on longer then the pencil.

Other comments: I plan on trying out a brown for my upper lash line and hope that it will work better because as said it is such a lovely and creamy liner. The packaging on them is very cute with its floral-ish/paisley pattern. The true color is a described as a "nude-peach" which is accurate. Depending on skin tone and the redness of and around eyes are big factors when deciding to buy.
Overall: The product really worked with my skin tone and made my eyes brighter with less notice-abilty of a white liner. It is one of the creamiest eyeliners I have ever used. However the staying power is just not there. For $18 I would prefer to my NYX white liner.

Repurchase?: Maybe.

Shine baby Shine

Hello Blogettes,
Happy Hump Day! I must say I am never much of a person for hump day but this week because of finals it is looking pretty swell. Anyways here are the nails I was sporting this week. I feel like these would have been better for New Years but I still fancy them.

Wet n Wild Wild Shine in Kaleidoscope; Sally Hansen in Midnight in NY; Street Wear in Monster Mash

I basically did two coats of Black then Layered on the Glitter. I really want to find a more multi-colored glitter compared to the silver. (Any suggestions?) Then I french tipped the best on could on all my nails except my index finger. On my index finger I did about four glitter coats compared to two on the others.
What are your favorite winter polish colors?

UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Heyy Blogettes,

I just wanted to update you and tell you that I am working on fixing up my blog a tad. I am sorry for any inconvience while I am working on it. I should hopefully have everything done by next week. I am going to get the main stuff done tonight and tommorow and just tweak a tad more through out the week.

My Winter Perfume Collection

Hello Blogettes,
Hope you all had a vey wonderful Saturday. Around here its been 12 degrees at most and its putting a damper on my running and somewhat my mood. I love that where I love we get the full effect of each season inlcuding snow in the winter, crisp wind and leaves falling in the fall, a cool spring rain and a hot summer but 12 degrees? I mean back in November it was still 60 degrees up until the last week. Anywho the point of me saying this is that I divide my perfumes and sprays up by the season. I store my off season perfumes/sprays in my lines closet. I know this might seem odd for some but I just cant stand having so much clutter on my vanity, plus their is no point for me to have a cherry blossom scent out in winter when I only use it in the spring time. I do have a few though that I do keep out monthly becuase I love them but thats for a differant post. Sorry for all this ramble I will finally show my winter fragences.

Just like Van Morrison said Brown Eyed Girl

Hello Blogettes.
After a fabulous night of eating pizza and watching marathons of strange addiction shows I thought I would share with you my Friday Night Eyes.

Eyes: NYX French Fries
Champagne White shadow
Grey toned Brown
Mid-toned Brown.
Dark Cocoa Brown with Copper Sparkles
Victoria Jackson Gel Liner in Black
Cover girl Shimmering Onyx Shadow(to set)
Maybelline Colossal Mascara
(dont mind my brows, They are long over-due for a good pluck)
I have decided that instead of listing the brands and names for most of the shadows I use i am just going to describe the colors more. This way it will hopefully make it easier to find the color to recreate the look, plus does the brand really mean anything?

Tip of January #2

Glamour Fact: Toner is a unnecessary step in your daily facial cleanser. This is because toner was made to help remove the remaining oils and makeup from your face, however nowadays most regular cleansers and facial scrubs do just the trick. Toners do make pores appear smaller but today a modern facial moisturizer works just well in some cases even better. Although they make helo skin look more glowy and resotre PH level, toners may also dry skin out, so unless you have oily skin or believe strongly in it it is not a must have. '

Knowledge-able Fact: The Adverage person in the United States currently lives to be around 75 to 82 years of age.

Inspirational Quote: "The heights by great men reached and kept, were not attained by sudden flight, but they, while their companions slept, were toiling upward in the night."

D.I.Y. Facial Masks.pt1

Hello lovelies,

I was inspired by Jay's post a while back on her homemade hair mask. Last night I decided to make my own facial and hair mask. I think I am going to start trying out new ones each month and share it with you all if it turns out good. My hair masks last night pretty much was a fail but the facial mask actaully turned out pretty good. The mask consisted of 1/2c oats and 1/4 c baking powder. this is about how the mixture should look, I doubled mine though

I left the mask on for about 15 minuted until it started to dry then washed off. At that time my skin didn't feel much different but the next day my skin felt more airy and somewhat smooth. I cant say that is gave me a baby's bottom smoothness but it was a nice change from my daily facial cleanser. Currently though this I am on a mission to find a homemade mask that makes my skin smooth, airy, and super duper clean along with adding moisture.

Anyone have any good homemade recipes to try?

Instead of...

......doing my report earlier today I decided to go on a ten mile run, take a hot bath and search esty for a while looking at bath bombs. While searching I came across LongLeafSoaps. I have my order already to send out and will do a review once I receive the products. Her stuff is very reasonably priced and everything looks so cute. In all honestly I swear I shop more on esty then at my mall.
After my bath I also decided to find some cute bathroom inspiration. I honestly cant wait to have my own house and decorate it. Here are a few photos that I really found adorable:

I really would love a old fashioned tub like that. I think it would just be fabulous to take a bath in and relax, however I am somewhat paranoid after have watching Sherlock Holmes.
How would you like your dream bathroom to look like?

D.I.Y. Eyeshadow Pallete-old brush case

Hello Loveries,
This year I really want to start reorganizing my makeup and other aspects of my life. Today though I thought I would start off small and make my eye shadows a nice home. They use to live in a giant 40 piece box that was from the brand Flirt! which you can be bought at Khouls. It was there Holiday palette which if you can still get your hands on I would suggest because for any that has every heard of them they also are distributed and created by the Lancome Company which also makes M.A.C. makeup so that means there is a plethora of dupes. (which I will make a anther post) This palette however is something anyone can do and it can be changed up in various ways. I used a hard cover brush case. I think this works best but a DVD or CD case will also work just fine. ( I will do tutorial posts on those also)

Shall we begin?
To start you will need :
*A hard cover brush holder(I got mine at Big Lots)
*Magnets(Large and Small)
*Glue
*A Knife or Carpet Cutter

1st) Remove the brush holders. Carefully cut them out with your cutting tool.

2nd) After the holders are cut place and fit a large magnet to size.
(old fridge magnets work well)3rd) Glue in your magnet.
4th) Fit and place in eye shadows. If shadows are not already magnetized fit and glue magnets on.

Wa-la! A brand Spanking new palette are your hands. Off to watch Lie to Me.
Anyone else watch this show?

FOBLC- Make S'mores

Hello all,

Here is anthor part my Files Of A Bucket List Completer Series. Although this is something that most people do when they are younger with their family around a campfire it's something I have never been able to get checked off my list until this past summer. My friends and I held a going away bonfire for my friend Marisa before she left to travel a zillion miles away for college. I cant exactly pinpoint the date but it was late August. The night consisted of jumping on a trampoline and making s'mores. It was a fantastic way to end summer and defiantly something that's I am glad I got check off my list.

B&BW Haul with a few extra after Holiday deals.

Hello Darlings,
Like most people, I do enjoy getting good deals on stuff. Today I checked out Bath and Body Works and found quite a few good deals. Here are the items I picked up at B&BW.

I was so excited when I found those two lip glosses. If you frequent Bath and Body Works you know that their lip glosses are usually 7.50 each. I got those two babies for $2 a piece. The candles, body splash and socks were 50% off and the lotion was $3. Great deals! The random contact solution was due to the fact that my eyes have been getting infected alot so recently I deiced to start new with new solution and a case. Hopefully it works. Lastly the Victoria Secret PINK jacket my friend ended up snagging for me was only $19.50 originally $39.00. It is not as fuzzy as I thought and was actually a little more terry clothed like but its all good. If any of you enjoy either Victoria Secrets or Bath and Body Works I would defiantly go check out there Semi-Annual sales right now.
