Pancakes and Auto Show.

Happy Saturday Blogettes!,
Don't you love days when you know that you will be welcomed by warm pancakes for breakfast? Well its something to greatly look forward too. Today I joined my track team for a good ole' Perkins breakfast and now I am off to a Auto Show. I am not a big fan of going to auto shows but whats better then cute boys looking at cars and getting free key chains on Saturday? huh huh anything better? Ha ha I am sure there is but its a tradition type of thing. Here is my outfit that I am wearing out today. It may be a little over done for this occasion but you gotta embrace the sun when its out.

I apologize for the such far away photos, it was quite hard to snap them this morning. Off to enjoy a busy type of day.

One of the many reasons I adore Australia...

....is because of their men.
Hello Blogettes,
I would like a few of my favorite Australian men with you today. I think I may have a problem with loving those Australian accents and just overall lovely appeal.

David Lyons

Alex Oloughlin

Eric Bana

Craig Horner

Heath Ledger

Hugh Jackman

Simon Baker

Yep, Just to name a few. I don't know what is really is but adding a sexy accent to anything just makes it more sexy. It must be something to do with physics.

To Kimono or Not to Kimono?

Hello Blogettes!,

After recently searching the a few online stores I found some really cute Kimono dresses. I dont know if I was ever fan of them or not becuase I never have really searched for clothing, I usually know what pieces I want and just look for them. I think they are really cute and will be great for spring and summer. Here are some of my favorites:

Most of them are from Alloy.com. except the second photo which is by Robert Rodriguez. I personally love the one. Something I really like about them is depending on the lenght they could be a tunic or a dress and depending on the color and fabric it can be worn year-around. Their is also something about them thats makes them quit easy to be worn dressy or formal.
What do you think about Kimono Dresses?

N.Y.C. Lipstick Review

Hello Blogettes,
I have been meaning to review these lipsticks for awhile now. Two years ago the color "Chiffon" was really popular by the brand New York Color. I really love this brand for their prices and the quality of their products. Here is my review on their lipsticks.
Review:
Claims: Ultra Moist Lipstick:Kissable shine with Vitamin E conditioning. Make your lips stand out with New York Color Ultra Moist Lip Wear. A moisturizing lipstick in the trendiest high-shine colors that nourish and soothe your lips.-New York Color
Ultra Last Lipstick:Super-charged color. Glide-on, stay-on lipstick! New York Color Ultra Last Lip Wear gives you incredible color with real staying power. Beautiful high-fashion shades give you the most luscious, kissable lips ever. -New York Color
Texture: A tad drying, perfect with a lip balm base. Goes on a little tacky.
Blendabilty: It is hard to blend out this lipstick. Possibly due to texture.
Smell:Plastic.
Lasting Power:The ultra moist lipsticks stay on up to an hour while the ultra last lipsticks stay on up to 3. This is however without food or drink. I would cut back about 30minutes on the ultra moist with food and drink, and a hour on the ultra last.
Other comments: The colors are very build able and stay on good for their price. I believe that the moistness varies throughout. Out of the ones I have retro red is the most dry but it is also the only matte one I have from it does chip and break easily. The color selection is great. You can deffiently find the colors you want and try them out to findif they are the right shade for you.
Overall: I really do enjoy the products that N.Y.C. produces. Even though these lipsticks are not as creamy or moisturizing as other lipsticks I would recommend them especially
for people just starting out with makeup.
Repurchase?:Yes

Snow Day Goodies

Ello Blogettes!
Snow days are my best friend! We had a four day weekend and now a snow day on top of it is just wonderful. This post weekend I pick up some really great deals on clothes. My total for everything was around $34. All of the stuff was bought at either Rue21, Icing, Thrift Store, or Rite Aid.

Rue 21 sheer ruffle cropped vest & lace and ribbon bow tank.

Coke makeup bag and Yogi Bear coloring book.

Thrifted Garfield v-neck and blue silk floral shorts.

Rue 21 floral sunglasses and brown leg warmers.

Icing bird cage earring holder.

I still cant believe I got all this stuff for $34. The bird cage earring holder is my favorite. I have seen them at Icing since last year and they have had them in various colors but they retailed for $35. I managed to snag it up to only $5. Its amazing to think that I could have bought the earring holder before and spend more on it then all this stuff I got in one weekend. If you have gotten some great deals recently make a post and I would love to check it out.

Transforming a Cardigan from Day to Night.

Hello Blogettes,
As some of you may know I, Chelsea am in love with cardigans. Sometimes it can be hard to transfer outfits from day to night on little time. However this weekend I found a nice and simple way to make the change just by having a cardigan and a belt.
First Look: Daytime.

Second Look: Nighttime. Its a pretty simply fix. The ingredients are as follows:
1)A cute cardigan.
2)Neutral toned belt.
3)Two pair jeans.
4)Sneaker of choice.
5)Flats or heels.(basically sexy comfy shoes)
6)Some jewelry.
Once you have all the ingredients simply put together your own day to night outfit.

I wanna see your peacock!

Hello Blogettes!
Oh, what a Fabulous Thursday! In Ohio it is 58 degrees and I am loving it! the 50s and 60s are my favorite degrees, I guess you could say, because it is the best running weather. Also because its warm-not to cold and not to hot. I plan on actually eating dinner today outside. Due to the wonderful weather I decided to get a little creative with my makeup for tonight. Tonight I am going shopping, grabbing some grub on the go and maybe some dancing and karaoke. This is how I have prepped my face for this night.

Eyes:VS cream shadow in going green
Avon pot in Blue Glimmer
No.7 shadow in golden leaf
Flirt! dark green e/s
Flirt! tad pool e/s
E.L.F. quad in Silver Lining (mix the darkest purple and the blue toned purple together)
l'oreal h.i.p. gel liner in midnight blue
Maybeline The Colossal mascara

Peacock? That's what I was going for. The main colors I used were blue, a golden green, and a deep purple. Peacock eye makeup can be done so many different ways. Actually makeup in general can be. That's what I love about it.
I don't know about you, but currently partying the night away makes me think of Katy Perry and bold eyeshadow. I know its strange but hey its all good. Tomorrow I don't have school so I will try to catch up on some posts and I plan on reorganizing my room so I can do a room tour soon.

Bright Eyed Babe.

Hello Lovely Blogettes.
I hope you all had a wonderful Valentines Day! With sunshiny days on the way I am going to share some tips one how to make your eyes appear brighter and bigger, just like a springtime bunny.

How to achieve Brighter and Bigger Eyes:

1. A white or skin toned eye pencil applied to the inner corners of the eye. Smudge the pencil out for a soften effect.
2. To calm puffy eyes apply a eye cream with caffeine or cucumber essence. Both bring down eye puffiness and soothe delicate skin.
3. Get your allergies checked. Allergies can cause eyes to redden and become irritated.
4. Keep your head up. Sleeping with your head elevated will prevent blood from flodding your undereyes.
5. Treat warm or cold. A warm compress will bring down eye swelling and help release gunk and excess oils. A cold compress will shock the skin under eyes which will constrict blood vessels and also decrease swelling.
6. Apply a concealer that works for your under eyes. Most people apply a shade that is one shade lighter but to mask the veins under eyes a green, yellow or pink based concealer works better. If you have purple discoloration apply a yellow concealer. For redness apply green and for blue discoroation chocie a pink based concealer.

My Favorite Jewelery Accessories.

Hello Blogettes,
This post is going to be on my favorite jewelery pieces. I really love jewelery when it comes to really making a outfit pop. All of the photo descriptions go from left to right.

Necklaces

- Both of these necklaces were handmade by me.
1. The "Truly Clooney" necklace I made in honor of George Clooney. (ahah I am such a fan) I love it and actually plan on making a bigger one of it.
2.The second necklace it simply a ornament from Hallmark in 2004 that I tied to a red string. I seem to always get compliments on it. The ornament actually opens and inside is a dangling key charm.

1. My mom and I actually share this necklace. It has interchangeable reversable charms and there are a ton of them.
2.The elephant necklace is on that my mother gave me...kinda. Technically my father got it for my mother and she never wore it so she secretly gave it to me. I love elephants and I always steal my friends and family elephant jewelry, clothes, and decorations:)
3. The last necklace is also one that deals with my mother. It is the Jane Seymour Open Hearts necklace. My grandmother, mother and I all have the same one.

Bracelets

1.My Cinderella bracelet is from the Disney Store. I have had it ever since I was about 10 and I got it was as Christmas gift. It is often forgotten but I still really like it.
2.The 3 chain charm bracelet is from Rue 21. It has a very earthy tone to and has cute little charm like a mocking bird, and a hamsa hand.
3. This was a gift from my friend Taylor and I actually use to hate it. After being ran over by a car, dropped down the sink, stolen then re found it kind grew on me. This watch (which is missing the glass above the clock) adorable with a Bohemian floral design and I realized that after all that is would become my favorite watch that always wanted me. Kinda like a Brave little toasters story.

Rings

1. The elephant is my favorite of them all of course becuase I love elephants.2. The key ring is a classic for me. It is large enough to be a two finger ring but is only one.
3&4. The Braided ring and the snake skin print ring came in a set together. These two I wear pretty much everyday.

Earrings

1.The grey toned lady profile earring is from my mother. I actually lost the other but hey I have a side part and long hair.
2. My cameo earrings are perfect for spicing up any outfit. I always wear them when I am looking rather drab and am in a hurry.
3. My favorite pair of dangling earrings are these airplanes. They are the most comfortable on my ears for being somewhat heavy.

1.The gold coin earring are my second favorites. These ones also use to be my mothers.
2. The Giant apples are my favorite for fall. I purchased them at giant thrift store.
3. Also vintage and purchased from the purchased from the same store as above are the big purple bows.

Fire&Ice

Hey Blogettes,
Today is Super Bowl Sunday!! I am actually not a big football person, but my whole family loves the Steelers so why not attempt to get into the game. While shopping over Christmas break, I found Revlon's Vintage collection at Target. Everything was pretty much in the permanent line but The Revlon Fire and Ice Lipstick really caught my attention, Mostly because of the stunning packaging. It honestly reminds me of something my grandma had when I was 2.
I actually have a old Revlon makeup book and found the old 1952 ad for it. The lipstick was brought back for Revlon's 75th anniversary. The packaging is limited edition but the color has been re added as a Super Lustrous Lipsticks. Besides the lovely packaging the color caught me too. The color shows up a red with orange undertone. It looks absolutely stunning and goes on extremely smooth. I have a couple other Revlon lipsticks but this one is hands down my favorite. Revlon also added 3 others shades including Siren, Temprress, and Demure. Demure is next on my list to get.
